Reach Sports is supported by a strong volunteer base. Many parents and others regularly volunteer in a variety of roles, all contributing to Reach Sports’ mission and success.
You can volunteer as:
Head Coach - Oversees team functions including practice,communication, games, devotions, etc.
Assistant Coach - Helps the Head Coach with specific tasks.
Referee - Every game has two referees. Most volunteers commit to refereeing two games per game day.
Evaluations - Help out during participant evaluations. Evaluation sessions are typically two hours long and held in November and December on various nights.
Greeter - Welcome and give directions to guests on Game Days.
Advertising - Help a small team that distributes emails, posters and info to local businesses, schools and other community venues.
Set-Up Crew - Prepare gyms for Game Days.
Clean-Up Crew - Clean up gyms and other areas used after Game Days.
Concessions - Prepare and serve food and snacks.
Practice Night Commissioners - Assist coaches with set-up, help during practices and close facilities afterward.
Data Entry - Enter registration forms into database.
Scorekeeper - Keep score and times for games. Two hours per Game Day.
Announcer- Introduce players before games. Two-four hours per Game Day.
Head Coach, Assistant Coach and Referee positions require separate applications. All volunteers subject to criminal background checks and child abuse clearance.
